What is the I Ching?
A book of change, images, and timely response.
The I Ching is one of China’s oldest classical texts. Sixty-four hexagrams are formed from six yin or yang lines, each describing a pattern of transformation rather than a fixed event.
Divination uses chance to form a figure, then reads its image and changing lines against a sincere question. Its enduring value lies in learning how to respond to conditions with proportion.
