What is BaZi?

A chart of four moments: year, month, day, and hour.

BaZi, also called the Four Pillars, arranges a birth moment into four pairs of Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches. It is a traditional symbolic language for observing time, season, relationship, and change.

The Day Stem is called the Day Master. Other signs are read in relation to it through the Five Elements and the Ten Gods. A chart is not a verdict; classical practice depends on balance, season, structure, and context.
